What is loT?
“The Internet of things describes the network of physical objects—“things”—that are embedded with sensors, software, and other technologies for the purpose of connecting and exchanging data with other devices and systems over the Internet”
Why do I need it?
Save time and money by automating tasks and being notified when things go wrong (or right!)… from occupancy sensors that let you know when your facility is reaching capacity, to refrigerator sensors that alert you when the temperature is too hot or cold, we offer a number of loT sensors and devices that can be custom tailored to your needs.
Temperature and Humidity Sensor
Ultra-long range sensor for connectivity to gateway from cooler and freezes including walk—in units. Estimated 10 year battery life.
Room Occupancy Sensor
Detects if a room is occupied. Uses a variety of sensors; infrared, temperature, humidity, light and motion. Uses 2 AA batteries.
Water Leak Sensor
Can sense as little as 3 drops of water. Detects freezing temperatures and vibration events. Can be synced with valve controller to automatically shut off the water. Estimated 15 year battery life.
3 Button Guest Satisfaction Terminal
Provides an easy to use and anonymous feedback mechanism for guests. Easy to install on counters or a wall. Estimated 2 year battery life.
Parking Lot Sensor
Sensors detect parking lot occupancy using two sensor types. Reports parking space changes within 35 seconds. Estimated 5 year battery life.
Smart Waste Bin Sensor
Can be used on both indoor and outdoor waste bins. Detects level of waste in the bin at the pre-set intervals. Can also detect if the waste bin tips over. Estimated 3 year battery life.
Smart Kill Rodent Traps
Dual entrance trap. Quick, high voltage shock is an alternative to rodenticides. Capable of multiple kills without resetting. Estimated battery life is 3 years.
Threshold People Counter Sensors
Count values are registered for people entering and leaving a space. Easily installed at any threshold or doorway. Estimated 1 year battery life.
Indoor Window and Door Sensor
Uses magnetic sensor to detect opening and closing of doors and windows. Operating temperature range from -4 to 131 degrees F. Estimated 5 year battery.
IoT Hardware Gateway (required)
Gemtek Femto Gateway (Ethernet) uses LoRaWAN technology to connect low-cost, battery-operated sensors over long distances in harsh environments that were previously too challenging or cost-prohibitive to connect. With its long range, high penetration and high sensitivity capabilities, it is a much more cost effective way to remotely monitor and control.
